Mycotoxins are natural chemicals produced by fungus that are poisonous to humans or animals and can contaminate crops. BIOsens is developing a mycotoxins detection device that is portable, rapid and precise. This provides an automated way to prepare samples of plant material, analyze the content of mycotoxins within 20 minutes, and deliver results on screen or to the cloud. The device enables testing outside the laboratory by farmers, grain elevator or processing company employees, at the crop reception stage or at borders.
